Collection 1 - Portraits of Hope

Hand-painted portraits made through conversation and care, given freely to remind people they are seen and valued.

Portraits of Hope began while I was recovering from illness and supporting loved ones through health challenges and difficult life transitions. I discovered both a passion and a talent in creating these portraits as quiet gifts of care, made through conversation and presence, to remind people that they are seen, valued, and not alone. Each portrait is the result of gentle conversation, shared stories, and the choice of colours and symbols that feel meaningful. There are now more than 30 Portraits of Hope gifted to individuals and families. The Changemakers Collection honours the organizations and volunteers who support the well-being of our community. Each portrait recognizes the quiet care, leadership, and commitment that often goes unseen, and reminds us of the essential role these groups play in helping neighbours feel supported, included, and valued.

Advocacy paintings 

Art that highlights inclusion, climate justice, gender equality, and diversability rights.

Advocacy Painting grew from my work as a social activist and my hope for a more inclusive world. These paintings give me a way to show what equity, belonging, and shared care can look like in practice, especially as we navigate the impacts of climate change, gender inequality, and the ongoing struggle for diversability rights. Through symbolism, colour, and layered imagery, I explore how communities can hold one another, make space for difference, and repair what has been harmed. Each piece is both a reflection of the world as it is and an invitation to imagine the world as it could be.

Commissioned paintings are available for individuals, families, community groups, and workplaces. Each piece is created in conversation, choosing colours, symbols, and imagery that reflect the story you want to honour. I offer a range of sizes and a sliding scale to accommodate different budgets, because meaningful art should be accessible to everyone.

The Art Shop offers prints and small gift items featuring artwork from across the collections. These pieces are an accessible way to bring art into everyday life, to brighten a room, share a meaningful gift, or carry a reminder of care and connection with you. Each item is printed with care in small batches, and new pieces are added throughout the year as the collections continue to grow.

This is a way to take art home, give to others, and help sustain both Portraits of Hope and the community causes it is rooted in.
